Sr. Manager, Product Management

Responsible for leading a team of high performing Product Managers, Product Owners, Solutions Engineers, Analysts, and Scrum Masters to determine customer needs to achieve quality and intuitive products for use internal to T-Mobile's 75,000 employees. Customers include all functional organizations within company.

  • Controlled a portfolio including 3 primary product lines with ~30 products, all enterprise wide.

  • Owned Road mapping and End to End management of ~30 products to drive results.

  • Mentored product managers, product owners, business analysts, and scrum teams to serve enterprise customers to understand thei needs.

  • Collaborated cross-functionally to provide best-in-class experience while balancing business objectives for entire ~30 product portfolio.

  • Built and championed relationships with cross-functional internal customers, stakeholders, executives, and service partners to grow and evolve solutions to meet needs, ensuring alignment in all capabilities and roadmap of long-term features.

  • Deployed agile environment using JIRA - Led Scrum Masters/Agile Coaches and DevOps teams.

  • Consulted with executives to establish enterprise-wide priorities for capabilities, creating product roadmaps, managed product budgets, and delivered against priorities ensuring best user experience for customers.

  • Controlled $15M budget across three Innovation Centers ensuring OPEX and CAPEX targets were met.

  • Reduced operations costs $1M by negotiating service agreements with 4 vendors.

2015-2018

Director, Product Management and Development

Director, Product Management and Software Development

Led a team of 200 highly skilled designers, UX engineers, solutions engineers, product managers, scrum masters and business analysts to provide quality and intuitive products for use internal to T-Mobile's 75,000 employees.

  • Led architecture, design, development, and deployment of end-to-end enterprise-wide solutions across ~8 verticals.

  • Coordinated with multiple external vendors to build relationships and ensure proper operational service levels maintained.

  • Transformed organization from waterfall to agile methodology, deploying first instance of JIRA in technology organization.

  • Maintained ~50 platforms according to established SOX requirements to ensure company security maintained.

  • Collaborated with 8-10 cross-functional business teams to research and establish priorities for capabilities, create roadmaps, and championed delivery against these priorities.

  • Established correct ratio of FTE to contract resources to meet customer demands with highest ROI leading ~200 team members.

  • Championed a solid mix of on-shore, off-shore, near-shore contractors to properly align with $30M development budget.

2013-2015

Sr. Product Manager

Senior Product Manager

Responsible for managing entire life cycle (ideation to delivery) for a product line within T-Mobile. Responsible for product innovation, product positioning, business case, product experience and go-to-market strategies for all products in portfolio, containing 61 distinct tools and services.

  • Built solutions for a customer base of ~8,000 field techs and regional teams.

  • Spearheaded transformation of product from 2x release per year heavy platform, to agile web-based platform and retire old product without significant customer impact.

  • Developed product plans, roadmaps, and business cases for all 61 products in portfolio.

  • Managed entire life cycle migration strategies and end-of-life decision for 7 enterprise-wide products and services.

  • Created and controlled overall  product roadmap ensuring a continual stream of new and innovative features brought to market ensuring best user experiences.

  • Collaborated with multiple teams of cross-functional resources including product managers, business analysts, stakeholders, solutions engineers, executives, and customers to deliver right solution for primary platform.
